Usability Consulting

Watch people use it, then change it.

Testing with real people, as part of designing and improving a site or product.

We test usability throughout the design and build, from the structure of a site to its individual screens. For an existing site or product, testing is usually how an improvement or redesign engagement begins. A standalone usability review of what you have today is welcome too, with no larger project attached, and it often shows where to go next.

How we test

Short rounds on real tasks

We give real people real tasks, note where they stall, adjust, and run it again. A few quick rounds tend to settle what meetings can’t.

Structure first

Card sorting and tree testing show whether people can find things before anything is built.

Working prototypes

Clickable versions tested on the tasks that matter most to the people using them.

What’s there today

Analytics and observation show where people get stuck on your current site or product.

What AI changes

More options worth testing

Testing is good at choosing between options. It can’t tell you whether any of them are good, which is why it sits alongside research into the actual problem. AI-assisted building makes each option much cheaper to produce, so there’s more to test and less to argue about.

Interface & Interaction Design and UX Architecture are the full pages on this work, and Working Prototypes covers testing with real people.
